CONVERTING BINARY BLOBS

I am currently trying to convert a clients paradox 8 data from a
previous vendor to use in MS-ACCESS or to eventually get to ORACLE. I
have found they used binary blobs to store text information that is
needed in their paradox tables. What are the methods that could be
used to extract that data out so I can use it as regular text. I
looked at the *.mb file in notepad and can see the text but the I
can't see the key number that matches each blob to other database
records in the *.db file or I could look for positions and simply cut
it out.

I noticed you can't change the field or look at the data from inside
paradox.
What front end could be used to write a program to access the blob
field and extract the text information with the connecting key number
into a format that could be used by MS products such as VFP or ACCESS.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
