alias, network and query problem

Recently made a relitively basic database for a non-profit recreation group.
Using Paradox in Corell Suite 8. When the information is saved on a network
drive, queries do not work. It give a non-discriptive error and states name
(table) not valid. I suspect this is the issue with the alias feature but
through lots of experimentation I have discovered nothing to solve the
problem. Reports of the same tables will work. It is a novell network and
all drive accessibility seems to be OK.
