Security Guard, by  Resource Development Associates is now available.

Security Guard provides a security management console for system designers/administrators and a password management and submission interface for end users. Security Guard is a system for Paradox developers who wish to manage table and field level security without giving users actual table and field level passwords. The management console allows developers and administrators to create users and systems and have user passwords issue the actual table and field passwords. In this way no one except developers and administrators ever need the actual passwords. This improves security and eliminates the need to restructure tables to modify system security.

The management console comes with the password interface for the same version of Paradox. The console is currently available in versions for Paradox 7-32, 8 and 9. Password interfaces are available for versions 5, 7-16, 7-32, 8 and 9. Security Guard is available for $149 (us) per site license and can be purchased online from RDA's web site.

My apologies to those of you who hate this type of post. But you generally tolerate it pretty well from Mike Pressman and I never see him out here contributing. As for the cross post, many of us do read all the news groups but not all the folks who might need or want this product. Thanks for your indulgence. I promise not to do this often.

I am not bothered by these types of postings when they deal with
products that are tied to PDX. In my experience, it has gotten more
difficult to find PDX tools/products.

If not abused postings like this are useful to developers, so I have no problem.

That should be welcomed.
It's good to see what other developers does and what they can offer to others.

Thanks to all of you who are supportive (or at least not complaining). I hope some of you also find the product useful ;-).
