Upgraded to W2K and no longer have icons in Windows explorer also when I
right click on a database table to restructure I have to quess at which
empty spot is the correct one. The nine items between Open and Run do not
show up. Any Ideas? I tried setting the Compatibility tool settings to NT4
SP5 with no luck.

This is my second post for this question any help will be greatly
appreciated.

That doesn't sound like a Paradox problem.

Still in Explorer?

I don't have Win2K myself, but do work on some workstations that have it.

You don't mention which "other" version of Paradox you are using.
Perhaps that will help with someone who does have that version and a home
installation of NT5 (oops, Win2000) to experiment on.

My first inclination, were I in your case, would be to reinstall Paradox --
evidently NT5 lunched some settings when, as it sounds from your message,
installed over a previous operating system.

Did you indicate that you wanted the settings permanent and were you doing
this with administrator rights (knowledge based on one of my mistakes)?

Steve, I have Paradox 7 and I have tried re-installing the product.

Let us know if Carolyn Wendover's suggestions help.

However,

> Upgraded to W2K and no longer have icons in Windows explorer

is still cryptic. No icons at all?? Or just no Paradox icon?

It does sound like it may be profile related, but again, I do not have Win2K
nor plan to any time soon. Unless of course Steve Ballmer sends me one to
test out on my removeable-hard drive multiple personality old AMD K6-2/500
machine ...

Yes I had tried Carolyns' suggestion with limited success. The
compatibility tools restored text to buttons but did nothing as far as icons
or right click menus go.

Again:

No icons at all?? Or just no Paradox icon?

I only get the standard windows icons that do show any file association. I
have manually associated these files with Paradox 7 (32 bit) with no change
in the icon appearance. As I also stated the middle 9 lines between open
and run on the right click menu do not appear although the spacing for them
is there. I am baffeled.
