Hello Jinny & David,

 

    I tried subscribing to the above newsgroup in addition to this one but my Explorer tells me it can't be found.  I know I typed it's name & info correctly.  Perhaps this is why everyone is using corelsupport.painter.

    Jinny, I would love the brush & interface list you gave John Philips some posts ago to help makes since of Painter's "order" of its brushes & tools.  I'm a teacher & it would greatly benefit my students.

I'm sorry to say I don't recall what brush and interface list you refer
to.

The best way to "order" Painter's brushes is to use the Brush Mover to
create a Custom Brush Library, load it, and when you create a new Brush
Variant, save it in your Custom Brush Library. In Chapter 1 of the
Painter 6 User Guide, The Painter Workspace, read the section on
Libraries and Movers.

Also in Chapter 1, to arrange your palettes, read the sections named
Customizing the Interface and Setting Palette Layout.

Your students (and you) can find the User Guide in PDF format via the
Painter 6 Help menu.

"The above newsgroup"... um.. what you have "above" is this newsgroup,
the corelsupport.painter newsgroup, and you're successfully subscribed
to it.. otherwise we wouldn't be getting your messages on it. <G>
