I just bought a Graphire tablet today to use with my PowerBook (G3
series, USB, Mac OS 9.0.4), and everything seems to be fine. Except
that, in Painter Classic (the version bundled with my tablet) I can do
everything *except* paint on the canvas with the stylus. I can select
brushes, menu items, make selections... everything else. The only way I
can paint on the canvas is to use another input device (trackpad works
fine; I haven't tried the Wacom mouse since I have a different one).
I've never used Painter at all before today. I'm not an illustrator, so
mostly I need the tablet for use in Photoshop for retouching &
correction and masking. And it works perfectly well.
But I'm stumped.
I went to wacom.com and downloaded the newest driver. Didn't help. I
poured through the manual. Didn't help. I looked on corel.com for a
possible update to Painter Classic: nothing.
Any ideas?
