i´ve read many postings about the problem "error reading bitmap...".
in my opinion, everyone says there must be enough temp-space to
decompress embedded bitmaps. but this is not helpful to me.
i use coreldraw 9 build 397 (SP2) on windows nt4 sp6 and win2000 sp2.
when i get this error-message, there IS enough RAM (>400 MB) and disc
space (2x 5 GB free). i cannot open or import the backup-file. after a
reboot the file doesn´t open too and there is no tmp-file. days later
many files can be opened.
i often get the message "error reading blabla.cdr" too by opening
files from network connection or local hdd. this files and backups
doesn´t open days later.
i get this error since 2 weeks by opening different files, not all. 3
years ago there was no problem at all and i have not changed
configurations. so i think, that is not a problem of the
coreldraw-software.
can anyone tell me, what to do to come across the problem?
greetings from germany,
christian
