There is a limit of around 500 fonts above which problems occur - you
can use Font Navigator to manage your fonts and avoid these problems.
The Help files associated are excellent.

I would suggest that if you do not have copies of these fonts on program disks
that you create a folder on your hard drive and copy fonts that you do not use
over to the new folder. That way you will still have them and can just move it
to the fonts file when you need it.
be careful removing fonts, some you do not want to delete, for example here are
windows fonts that you do not want to delete or it could mess up windows
programs,

4. Arial Italic (TrueType)
5. Courier 10,12,15 (VGA res)
6. Courier New (TrueType)
7. Courier New Bold (TrueType)

10. Marlett (Windows 95/98)*
11. Modern (Plotter)
12. MS Sans Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24 (VGA res)
13. MS Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24 (VGA res)
14. Roman (Plotter)
15. Script (Plotter)
16. Small fonts (VGA res)
17. Symbol (TrueType)
18. Symbol 8,10,12,14,18,24 (VGA res)
19. Times New Roman (TrueType) -
20. Times New Roman Bold (TrueType)
21. Times New Roman Bold Italic (TrueType)
22. Times New Roman Italic (TrueType)
23. Wingdings (TrueType)
24. Any font with a red A for its icon.
25. Any font that begins with the letters MS.
After you get your fonts down to a manageable size try installing your font
QuicksilverITC-Normal (True Type). It should work now.
