What is comp.csw and why would it be on my HD before installing program?

When you go through the preliminary steps of the installation, the Corel Setup
Wizard notes all the choices you make and records the steps necessary to
actually do the installation in that file. So it's not pre-existing; it's
created during the installation process.
As to why it can't be found, something is interfering with its creation. You
say you've tried shutting down _almost_ everything else running while
installing--what didn't you shut down, and why not? For one thing, make sure
you have no virus checker running during the install; they are notorious for
interfering.

Thanks for the info.
I got the program to reinstall on my computer after turning off the anti
virus software.
The only programs which I had left running in the background were explorer,
mswheel, pointer and 2 or 3 other misc. utilities.

Great! :)

"Miscellaneous" can cover a LOT of territory. If you run into a situation like
this again, shut down _everything_ but Explorer. No exceptions. Your hair will
thank you.
