This is NT 4. Corel Draw 8 has service pack 2 installed. Has anyone some
idea what might be wrong?

Try launching the application with the "F8" key held down. Answer yes to
over writing the workspace. If this does not help, try restarting the
system in VGA mode. If this works, try updating the Video driver
