I am trying to install my original copy of CorelDraw 8 (before the builds)
into my system which I have upgraded to
Windows ME platform from Windows 98(orig).

I am being given a file copying error for several different files. I'm being
prompted to abort, retry or ignore. I have tried ignoring but every 2-3
minutes another error arises when another file can't be copied from the cd
to my hard drive.

Does anyone have any advise? How can I get this installed? Do I keep
"ignoring" these files and see what happens?

Deperately needing CorelDraw8,
Michael Rowan

I figured out that my computer was running programs in the background that
must have been interfering. I shut them all down and the installation went
perfect.

I am having the same problem, except I am trying to re-install CD 8 on a
fresh and clean install of Win 95. I have cleared the aborted install
attempts, except for Dream 3d, which installed just fine, including the
registry, but still nothing. The installer copies about 50K of files and
then starts complaining. Then the system stops responding. The CD-ROM
and HD talk with each other, but there doesn't seem to be any forward
progress.

The only difference between this re-install and previous ones is that I
have added an additional HD. I'm stumped and frustrated . . . Have you
ever tried to work with MS Image Composer? What a pain!

TIA
