Importing Publisher files

I need to Open/Import/Copy files (containing pictures and text) which were
originally created in Publisher

So far as I know, there is no filter for this conversion, nor will
Publisher permit you to save to a version that can be imported into Draw.
You can TRY:

1) Printing to a PostScript printer driver and importing as Interpreted
PostScript. I have not had much success with this. Something about the PS
code that Publisher puts out is wonky, but you might do better than I.

2) Copying across the Windows clipboard. This is ultimately sub-optimal,
but, if you are in a fix, it may be the only viable solution. I'd start
trying to copy the entire document page. If that fails, work with the
bitmapped elements only and then re-create the vector elements.

3) Get the best possible preview you can in Publisher and do a screen
grab. (Use Corel Capture.) This yields a bitmap that may or may not be of
a high enough resolution, but it may also be the easiest to accomplish.
However, it depends largely on the quality of your monitor.
