Export to HPGL (type .plt)

I am using Draw 8 to drive a X Y table, running a plasma cutter.
When I export (or save) to a .plt file, a serious offset is created if I
use a page size other than 8.5x11 in. If I use this size, then export is
ok.

My cutter table is 96"x48".
Also, the 'use lower left or center as plotter origin' does not work
correctly.
The drawing gets a serious offset into the 3rd quadrant i.e.

2 | 1
----|----
3 | 4

This all works fine in Draw 6, but the draw capabilities of '8' are
better.

Can I somehow get the 6 export filter to work with 8 ?
