Hello,
We would like to upgrade our CorelDRAW 8 to CorelDRAW 10. However, we are
also using Corel Ventura 8 on a couple of machines. I have not read anything
indicating that Ventura is upgrading, nor have I read anything about the
compatability of Ventura 8 with CorelDRAW 10.
Do you have any information about this?
Thank you,
BGW

You just need to add the following within ventura.ini

[EditIn]
VectorEdit=7.467;8.232;8.369;8.433;9.397;9.439;10.393
BitmapEdit=7.467;8.232;8.369;8.433;9.397;9.439;10.393

The latter entry indicating the relevant version of Draw 10 (this may
be a beta number I can't recall - I have not tried it extensively but
that was what was used during beta of 10

Corel Draw 10 cannot be imported directly into Ventura 8. File can be saved
back as CD8, CMX, or other formats that Ventura already recognizes. Also it
is currently impossible to edit in CD 10 from Ventura 8, so you need to
maintain 8 on your machine for editing. To make it work you have to
reregister the CD8 files after you finish the installation of 10.

We run a newspaper and are currently doing all of our ads in CD10 and then
exporting them as CMX Version 5 for importing into Corel. Been working like
a charm. Have had some problem bringing EPS files into CD10 though.
