PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I have been using Corel Draw since version 1, only missing out version 6.
(and have probably had every patch ever released). NEVER HAD COLOUR PROBLEMS
BEFORE!!!!!
Now with the latest version (8.369), I have severe colour display problems.
None of the Colours display or print correctly – BLUE being the most
affected. Blue (100% Magenta / 100% Cyan or R: 0 - G: 0 - B: 255) has
always given BLUE.
I now get a very dark, dirty, purplish, dull and unacceptable MESS. All
colours are incorrect but Cyan is also far from what it should be – a dull
Blue (not Cyan). Photo Paint suffers from the same problem but not as
serverely.

I am by no means a novice with Corel Draw and have tried everything that I
can figure out to try! Colour Manager, dithering, etc. etc ....... you name
it !!!!!!!!! NO SUCCESS. I am however open to suggestion and believe that
no one can claim to be an "Absolute Master" when it comes to computing,
especially in these days of over-bloated programmes with an ever increasing
number of bugs.

Corel Support in "Darkest South Africa" does not help at all – friendly but
of little or no use at all !!!!!!!!!!!
I get asked to check the very simple, basic things ...... it's a case of
BEEN THERE, DONE THAT, GOT THE T-SHIRT. — I need meaningful help, my
work, except for line-art has come to a standstill —

THE SAME PROBLEM exists on all (3) computers I know where Corel Draw 8 is
being run — different makes of computers, monitors and printers!!!!

IS THER ANY "GURU" OUT THERE WHO CAN HELP????????
If anyone might want to contact me on e-mail, I can be reached at
jord...@icon.co.za (personal) or jord...@sentech.co.za (business)

Regards from a very frustrated,

Pieter Jordaan.

Hi Pieter,
I too, was frustrated by the color problem but the answer is in the string of
messages regarding color on August 29/98. Specifically Glenn Gosack's reply. I
quote "Sounds like you have the colors calibrated for the screen... goto
options,
global, color management and uncheck calibrate for display... this should
bring back the vivid colors you remember..."

100% cyan 100% magenta is NOT blue, but purple. Always has been, always will be.
Check a Pantone process book if you don't believe me.
