Corel Draw 8 Locking up when doing a File | Open

Corel Draw 8 Locking up when doing a File | Open.
It actually locks as soon as the open drawing dialog box comes up.

I can open files that are at the bottom of the File Menu, but as soon
as I click on Open it brings the open drawing dialog box and locks up.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled with all patches as per the following
document:

No difference.

I'm thinking it has something to do with the network, but I can't seem
to figure it out. I checked all my Tools Options settings and
nothing is pointing to the network. I made sure my default printer
was set to a local printer. I tried not logging into the network
and running coreldraw and I was able to get in, but I still locked up
when going to file open.

Any ideas?
