Importing DXF Files

I am trying to import .dxf files into Corel Draw 5 so that I can colour then
in as my cad program will not let me.

I am able to import the file with no problems, but it still won't let me
colour the drawing in. Am I doing something wrong??

If it's not possible to do this in Corel Draw 5, is it possible in any of
the later versions?
