I would really appreciate help in a problem I`m having with PhotoPaint
5. I save a lot of jpg files from the internet and scanned sources but
find the program will not open many of them even though they usually
come from the same location and time. Sometimes it works normally, other
times a message is triggered saying "could not understand file" or "this
file type not supported" (even though they are all jpeg`s) Is there a
utility available to view and convert these files to a version or format
usable by PhotoPaint 5 ? Thanks - Maurice.

My guess is that the files it will not open are progressive .jpg's
which was not supported when Paint was released and no there will not
be a bug fix/product update. You could convert using paintshop pro from
www.jasc.com
