I have some questions.
I erased the folders we once had on the network for CD4.
Now I want to reinstall it to the network so that it can be
installed from the network to the old workstation. In this
day of the web, I hoped to find a document that describes
the "proper" method for a network install. Is such a
document available or are there some simple steps that you
can recommend? for example, should I just copy the Disk to
a folder and run setup from there?
I can only find one set of CorelDraw disks. So I don't know
if it's the original or the updated set that Corel sent us
years ago. How can I tell?
If they're the original disks, are updates still available?
Can they be downloaded?
Thanks for your help. I've forgotten how to do all these
old things.
The latest would be a plain silver disk saying "Rev C patch", and the disk
lable as seen in Explorer [Program Manager] would be "DRAW4C_UPG". Sounds like
you probably have the initial release, which was practically unusable in many
respects. :(
There are no downloadable patches available. Draw 4 predates that custom.
I'm afraid you're on your own for network installation--it was supported only
by direct contact with Corel Tech Support over the phone, with the user having
purchased a network license. And all support other than in these newsgroups
was dropped years ago.
Time to upgrade?
