Paint 4 twain error

I'm using a Black Widow 4830 Pro scsi scanner. When I try to scan from corel
paint 4 I get an error message saying there is a a twain error. If I scan a
proportion of the full window or lower the resolution of the scan then it
works. It will scan a full page at 100dpi but only about half a page at
200dpi and so on before the error occurs. I'm using Windows 98.

Every other program I've used with the Black Widow scanner works fine.
Anyone got any ideas?
