It sounds as though you have one of the earlier versions of Draw 3
which can't comprehend the possibility that there could be a hard
drive larger than 1 gig. The patch to fix that is no longer
available--the only workaround would be to ensure that there is no
partition on the hard drive larger than 500 megs or so.

Back in the days when Draw 3 was released, there were no such things as
hard discs bigger than 1Gb. That size was considered simply
unbelievable. So, when Draw's install starts to check the space that it
will need when it installs, it looks up your hard disc size in a little
table of sizes and... there IS no entry for your hard disc.
The install just sits there, in open-mouthed amazement. <g>
Ways round the problem? Well, you could fiddle around partitioning your
hard disc to a size les than 1Gb or install to a Zip drive if you have
one or ...
Or you could just drag the \DRAW folder from the CD onto your hard disc
in the same place as you installed Draw 3 on the other computer; change
all the newly-copied files from ReadOnly to, er, not ReadOnly and then
make a [Coreldraw3] entry in your WIN.INI which reads the same as the
one on your other computer.
Okay? B^)

CorelDraw3 worked well with two 1 GB hard disks. CD3 was installed on C:
I replaced these two HD by one of 8.4 GB, divided approximatly like this:
C: 2 GB
D: 2 GB
E: 30 MB
F: 4 GB
I got the same error message trying to re-install CD3.
-------
Now I have divided the last partition, in two new:
F: 3.5 GB
G: 0.5 GB
Tring to reinstall CD3 on G: (486 MB), I get the same error!
What can I do for *direct* installation of CD3 on G: (486 MB)?
Thanks in advance.

1 - reduced the size of C: from 2000 to 900 Mo, with Partition Magic
2 - installed CDraw3 on C:, without any problem
3 - expanded C: from 900 to 2000 Mo, as it was before, with PM
All is OK, CDR3 works fine.
Question : has anybody asked to Corel a "patch" for forrecting this
instllation problem known since several years ?
Thanks again
