After installing CorelDraw 10, my internet computer crashes whenever I
connect to the internet. How does one completely uninstall the Attune
program that installed with CorelDraw 10, I think it may be the culprit
since it also crashes everytime I bring up the Attune dialog window.

Attune is a piece of crap that botched up my system as well.
They have their own Uninstaller but sadly it is as much of a joke as the
program is.
I would recommend to anyone installing Corel 10 to do a custom install and
deselect this joke BEFORE installing it.
I had to MANUALY remove it from the registry and hard drive because their
uninstaller couldn't run.
Be VERY careful with this one. Luckly I had installed Corel on my home
system BEFORE I did my work system.

Why would Corel do this to us? - I want CorelDraw - not this other animated
crap.

Could not find their uninstaller. It may not have installed?? Used
Norton Zip rescue to do a restore. Thank goodness I had just made new
rescue disk yesterday or this would have been a real problem. I will use
the custom install when I re-install CorelDraw 10. Thanks!

When installing D10, the last splash screen before the file copy process
allows you to remove Attune prior to installing the app. Attune is a
separate app which is independent of Draw's installation routine.

The question remains, how do you get rid of it?

When you there is no uninstall for it and you

can't get rid of it via add/remove programs.

I would like to get off my machine as well.

Do I need to uninstall Corel and do a custom

reinstall?

Greetings Island boy,

I have attune in my system since March. I picked it up testing Knockout 1.5
and Draw 10. It does not come out on uninstall. I have tried to find related
attune files and delete them manually, however, to date I am still unsuccessful.

If you figure out a way to get rid of it short of reformatting everything
please let me know.

You can avoid getting attune by doing a custom install if you are lucky
enough to know that before you install the program.

Hi Sheff,

Here's some info from the readme.html file. . .

Aveo(TM) Attune(TM)

When you uninstall using the Corel Uninstaller, Aveo(TM) Attune(TM) will not
be removed. In order to
uninstall Attune, use the Add/Remove feature from the Control Panel.

If Attune is selected during the installation process, a window for
Microsoft Virtual Machine displays with the
message: "Microsoft VM is now being installed on your system." after you
restart your system. This is
normal.

If you have removed bits and pieces, reinstall and go to the Control Panel -
Add/Remove
to uinnstall.

Hope this helps. :-)

Not for the faint hearted. I removed JASC by deltree*.*
commands of it only.
It attached to any photo/picture I had sent to me like a worm.
I do NOT recommend it, but I at last got it out of my computer.

I haven't tried to uninstall, but I did disable it in Win98 by going to
Accessories | System Information and then selecting Tools | System
Configuration Utility and clicking on the tab "Startup". This shows a
lot more than you'll see under Windows/StartMenu/Programs/Startup and you
can uncheck the few that relate to Attune. Doesn't take it off the disk,
but does stop it from loading and messing things up.

Good to hear this worked out for you, Tom,

Me, I would try to uninstall from the Control
Panel - Add/Remove. . . As a matter of fact I did
try it and, Aveo Attune uninstalled beautifully.

Happy New Year!

FWIW, you can get to where you went a little quicker, by going to Start | Run | and enter msconfig

The uninstall utility in the Control Panel does not do a complete uninstall.
After you uninstall it from the control panel go to:

http://www.radiate.com/privacy/remover.html

you need to follow these instructions to remove the lingering DLLs that will
cause havoc with many programs.

I handled it by running "msconfig" and removing it from the startup list. It
is still on my machine in some ghostly fashion, I suppose, but at least it
does not bug me, or cause any crashes. (Not that I can prove that it did,
but it was consuming about 5% of my resources without adding anything useful
to my life.)
