Inserting an ActiveX control into CorelDraw10

Has anyone sucessfully inserted an ActiveX control into CorelDraw 10
(or earlier)? When I try to insert an ActiveX control (even one from
Microsoft) through the Edit|Insert New Object... menu item it just
inserts the icon for the file. Has anyone tried this before? Should
it work, or are ActiveX controls even supported?

I'm trying to drop a graphing ActiveX tool that can load matlab graphs
on to the drawing. It inserts into MS Word and Powerpoint just fine
and I'd like that same type of functionality in CorelDraw.
