I have found that this will let me continue to run Script Editor under CD10.
Copy these files BEFORE uninstalling CD9. Some are in Corel/Program, some
are in Windows/System - use a find program to get them all.

'>>>Place these files (from your 9 install) in a folder of your choice<<<

corelapp.ini
CRLCTL91.dll
CRLUI91.dll
cscmenu.cfg
cscsbar.cfg
Sccomp91.dll
Sccres91.dll
scedit.exe
scedit.hlp
ScEdit.Ini
sceres91.dll
sceshl91.dll
Scint91.dll

'>>>Create the following reg entry using your actual folder (yeah it looks
for 8, at least in my case)<<<

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\COREL\CorelDRAW\8.0]
"ConfigDir"="C:\\Program Files\\Corel\\Script Editor"

Hope someone finds this helpful!

Would this be necessary if I have version 8 installed?

you deserve some kind of medal for working this out.
I've been looking at getting 10 but it holds no value to me at all without
script editing.
having done what you are suggesting here just in run in much the same manner
as it did under version 9.
Does any of the syntax structure of 9 impact upon the running of scripts in
10
Cheers
