Suppression of .wpd suffix ?!?!

I just saw your message. I believe it is a feature of WP to tack on whatever
is your default extension unless you explicitly say not to.

How do you do that? If the filename you want to save is "myfile.art", when you
are in the filesaveas dialog box, type "myfile.art.". By placing a period at
the end or your filename, you are telling WP not to add on the default
extension.

You can also just enclose the filename in quotes.

Click TOOLS, SETTINGS, FILES. If you then uncheck the default extension box
you preclude an extension from automatic inclusion in file names. But you
also have the option of changing the default extension by changing .WPD to
something else in the dialog box.
