Newbie question: help needed!

I work with Paradox 9. I am starting to continue unfinished development
of large application framework based multi-user database. I am only
learning paradox desinging, and I need to study the application at my
home. So how can I move this unfinished application from office to my
home. I have tried to do this by starting new application and copying
the files, tables and private directory, over that new directory, and I
have checked alias definitions. Application still don't run like in
office. I only get menus, but appmap.fsl won't show up. Is this because
of the code, or should I try to do this some other way ? I am not
familiar yet with publishing program as runtime version.

Please mail answers to my e-mail also, I may not have time to read
newsgroups often.

The short answer is don't use the application framework. Set up your
app with separate directories for tables and forms and you can move it
easily.

For the long answer (i.e. the reasons) search the threads on aliases,
application framework, etc.

IIpo - most readers in Corel paradox newsgroups read all the related
groups so you don;t need to send the same post to different groups.

The groups are for everyone's benefit so answers are posted here
rather than privately by e-mail

If you are a new user, you will want to monitor these groups regularly
as you probably will be sunk without them.

In addition to Ken's answers you may also want to check out our Paradox
resources page at our web sit; especially the papers on database basics and
on normalization. There are also a lot of other free and inexpensive tools
available there. Also check out the other Paradox related links on our
partners and links page; especially Lance Leonard's techtricks.com site.
