Question on Record Locking - Paradox Front End/Oracle Back End

If anyone knows the answer to this, I'd be very grateful for a
response.

I'm working on a Stock Room Inventory System using Paradox 9 as a
Front End, and Oracle 8 as a back end.

I'm having a real problem trying to lock records. Does anyone know
how to do this?

Also, if anyone out there has already worked on a similar project, are
there any other real dilemmas I may have to look out for?

Any help regarding this matter would be extremely appreciated.
