Fonts in Word and WordPerfect

Microsoft developed some new fonts especially for screen reading. Two
of these -- Constantia and Candara -- look terrific when I use them in
Word. But in WordPerfect -- at least on my screen -- they are
terrible (especially Constantia), with uneven widths or weights.

Does anyone know why these fonts should appear different in Word and
WordPerfect? More practically, is there some way to improve the way
they appear in WordPerfect?
