I am transferring a quattro pro file (9 Meg) containing a financial system
and which includes a few hundred macros stored in one page in the notebook.
I was running this file in Quattro Pro v8 and it is also a file coming from
previous version as well. Transferring it to version 10, using XP home.

I was able to load the file (after installing the pack) but most macros do
not work. Checking with the help I noticed that some of the macro command I
am using have a Note: This command is obsolete. ?????

Does somebody know where I could find a table of equivalency macro commands
between QP v8 and QP v10 to check my commands?

Thanks

JJo. Bellamy

Previously, Jean-Joseph Bellamy eloquently stated :

I do not know of a table. My experience has been that while the help
file states that some are obsolete, most of the time they still work.
The ones that really don't work are the commands to modify the menu's and
toolbars. Quattro Pro 10 has a different toolbar & menu system then v8,
therefore the v8 macros don't work. Corel has not seen fit to replace
these commands.

If you post the macros that you are having trouble with, perhaps we can
help you find replacements, or help you figure out why they are not
working.

Thanks a million Mark for your message. Since I went through all my macros
and corrected the old ones to the new language such as {GOTO} to {EditGoto
......} and other old macros which must come from previous versions of
Quattro Pro.

However, the last section of my long list is to rebuild a menu system. In
QP 8 I had a full menu system which was replacing the QP menu bar. To set
it up I had a macro {SETMENUBAR "...."}. The menu was in a block of cell
A12..H178, etc...

Any idea about where I can find additional information to build a menu
system in QP10? The help feature is not really helpful in this area. How QP
10 defines a menu system? etc.

JJ,

All menu-building macro commands no longer work in QP, and haven't since v9.
It's a new menu system (shared with Corel Draw Suite), and it doesn't accept
those commands).

Thanks Michael. Where could I find more info on how to build this new menu
system? In QP10 help I am not going very far or at least not simple to
navigate through the help files to find out how to build this new menu
system.
