.NET control file

I have a stand alone paradox application that I am trying to move from
one system to another. This has not been an issue in the past, however,
now I am getting the following error. I have looked at the HELP and
can't seem to find anything that relates to .net
Cannot open:WORK:menudb.db
You have attempted to open a database that is in use by someone else,
but the database cannot be shared. Your must set the location for the
..NET control file.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

It sounds like you have a .net file on that system that isn't the one that a
..lck file says it should be.
Search and destroy ALL pd*.lck files on that system. And maybe the pd*.net
file(s) as well.

when you moved to the new machine, you forgot to go into the BDE and set
the shared location of the net file.. the BDE Administrator should be in
Control Panel..

You can also have a "paradox.lck" file that is stopping everything in its
tracks. But you do need to check BDE controller as well and set the shared
