I seem to be having a strange problem with the location of my lck and net
files. I've set up the BDE "Net Dir" point to a shared directory where the
database is located. Local Share is set to "True". The problem is when I
open the Paradox 8 application the PDOXUSRS.NET file gets created in the
proper network directory but the PDOXUSRS.LCK and PARADOX.LCK always get
created on the local drive. If I connect with the WEB portion (IIS and ODBC)
of the application there does not seem to be a problem and the .lck files
get created in the shared folder.
I'm setting up a new server. It has the same OS (Win2k) and software as the
production server but the hardware setup is different.
Has anyone else encountered this problem is so what's the fix???

first.. posting this to a gazillion sections is bad <g>.. I'm replying to all as
a "CROSSPOST" notice.. before you reply to this, please delete all sections
except one.. preferrably the "developer" section.. thanks..
now.. when you start Paradox, lock files will be placed in the "working"
directory where you start your app, and in the "private" directory.. doesn't
matter where they are, thaqt's where it'll start doing that.. then, as you touch
tables in other folders, lock files will be placed in those folders, too.. then
these additional lock files will be deleted from those other folders by "the
last one to leave"..
