Hi,

I'm trying to test my Padadox 10 Corel Web HTTP Server from my workstation
with http://localhost or 127.0.0.1 without success.

I know that it's a Service Pack 2 concern and I can't find nothing in
DejaNews groups or MS help about to get it work. There's too much BlaBla out
there and nobody talks about The Problem!

Can somebody tell me how? Thanks. (trying another port than 80 is not the
solution I agree with)

Pierre

Have you tried disabling the Firewall?

'Cause I think the [new] firewall is the issue.

My Windows XP firewall is not activated because I have an external hardware
one.

I saw that there's ICMP folder in advanced settings where all items are not
checked. I did change anything yet about it.

I'm actually using port 82 but I want come back on 80.

Thanks

Pierre

Are you sure there isn't something else using 80?

Apache? Personal IIS?

Only one service/app can use a port at any given time.

I don't think I have something running under my knowledge. I put back
ocxserver to port 80 and close a TSR running in background from a not
running software and I still have no response (404 Error) and ocxserver
status still wait for connection.

In the Windows task manager, I can't see program that use port 80. I should
have an aanswer if so.

Is there a command to interrogates port giving the program using it ?

Thanks

Pierre

I know of no way to find out what is running/listening on a particular port.

Only thing I can guess is a firewall (hardware or software) blocking port
80, or a proxy redirecting it somewhere else.

Thanks.
Anyway, I'll continue to search about it. That's not critical, but just bad.
I installed all my stuff without special touch.

netstat -ano

The -o option only works in XP.

AFAIK, you can then list the tasks on XP Pro using tasklist.

That's great!

I saw a 1040 code at the last column of 127.0.0.1:80. If I understand
correctly help on netsats, it's the program code task. My ocxServer is
actuallly set to port 82 with 3268 code.

Somebody nows what's 1040 ?

Pierre

I got it!

By searching this .exe file I found that's from a software TSR running in
background even if the software itself is not running. It's an automation
engineering software from GE-Fanuc Cimplicity Machine Edition and it have an
HTTP server running on port 80. It has priority over Paradox as it's start
first. I just desactivated it and it's ok.

After a forensic search... and so many smoke in the air.

Thank you very much for the pipe!

Pierre
