PdoxDOS under XP not always closing

I have been running PdoxDOS under Windows XP for some time. There have
been a few issues, but one of them was NOT that the DOS window wouldn't
close when Paradox exited.

I recently set up a new XP computer with a shortcut to my PdoxDOS
program. It is actually a shortcut to a batch file. Sometimes, when the
Paradox script finishes, and calls EXIT, the DOS window remains with a
remark that I should press Ctrl+C to close it.

This hasn't happened on any of the other XP computers here, and the
shortcut is exactly the same as on my computer where it always works
without incident.

Any comments?
