Unexpected Condition on Paradox (DOS) Version 4.0

Help folks,
I have run my Paradox V4.0 on my Internet ready machine for 4 years
now,very successfully.
It ran in DOS protected mode under Windows ,Ms Games etc.
Recently,coinciding with reading some corrupt data files,it won't run
at all now but gives

Unexpected Condition : GP0000 at Paradox :28 :12d7-Leaving Paradox.

I have re-loaded the program from the original disks but still the
same problem.There are no disc errors & computer is virus free.
Everything else on the machine ,perfectly OK.

I am completely stumped what to do next.

Is there help out there,please?

you can start by reading the replies you've already gotten elsewhere,
instead of asking the same question over and over again.. answered in
e-mail last week, answered in the pnews dos section on thursday..
