Playright 4.5 under Windows XP

I am trying to run PlayRight 4.5 under Windows XP (SP2, most of the
most recent updates). I have a shortcut pointing to PRX.exe I didn't
alter anything in the shortcut other than the icon. It's using the
generic autoexec.nt and config.nt.
This, to the best of my recollection, is how I had it set up on my last
computer (which was also running Windows XP) and it was working fine.
Now, it is very slow -- worse than watching grass grow.
I don't use PlayRight often, but I think maybe it might have been ok
before I added 1gb of ram to my machine, making a total of 2.
Any suggestions?
