I tried to install WP 10 SP4 & got a message that Paradox did not have
SP3 installed & that I would have to installed it first before I could
install SP4. I tried to install SP3 & was told that it had been
installed on other elements of WP10 & that the installation of SP3 would
be aborted. I checked the version nos. & everything except Paradox has
v. 10.0.0.719 or above. Paradox has v. 10.0.0.663. I vaguely remember
that at one point I was having problems with Paradox, uninstalled &
reinstalled it which might explain why it has a lower v. no. I have WP
Office 10 pro version & Windows XP Pro, SP1 installed. Can anyone
advise how I can address this problem other than a complete uninstall,
reinstall?

Run a repair first .. then try SP3 again (probably won't be needed
though) and then SP4
Browse to the root of your WP Suite CD and find the WPO* (or
similar).msi file (If you can't "see" the .msi file in question then
you need to turn "view hidden files and folders" on in Windows
Explorer via TOOLS/FOLDER OPTIONS/VIEW). Right click on the file
and choose "repair". Let it do it's thing.

I can't locate any wp*.msi on the WP 10 CD. Please advise me as to how
to proceed. Thanks in advance.

I finally found the *.msi file & ran a repair on wp. Paradox still
shows v. 10.0.0.663 while everything else shows v. 10.0.0.719 or later.
When I try to install sp 4, I still get the message that Paradox
doesn't have sp 3 installed & that I must install that before I can
install sp 4. When I try to install sp 3, I still get a message that
other components of wp are beyond sp 3 & sp 3 does not install. As i
said in my original e-mail, I think I had installed sp 3 & hot patch 4
but had to uninstall & reinstall Paradox. Whatever the reason for this
problem, does anyone have advice on how to proceed? Thank you in advance.

Somehow the MSI is messed up. When you originally installed WPO2002 did
you install Paradox or did you install it at a later date?

I'm thinking that you are going to have to do an uninstall of the entire
suite... and then reinstall it all again. :-(

As I said, I think I had installed the suite, sp 3 & hot patch 4 & then
uninstalled & reinstalled Paradox because of a problem in Paradox. I
had originally asked if, given those facts, there was any way I could
fix the problem w/o a complete uninstall/reinstall of the entire suite.
If I must do a complete uninstall/reinstall, which sp's do I have to
install, i.e. sp 3 & 4, only sp 4 or some other combination. Thanks in
advance.

Depending on your CD version you should be able to reinstall then apply
SP3 and then SP4.
