WP2000 to WP12

Office just purchasing new PCs which I am told come with WordPerfect 12
installed.

Presently using WordPerfect Suite 2000 (WP9, QPro9, and PDox9) with many
Macros Templates and much ObjPal with which for many years I have been most
happy. I have backed up the Macros & Templates and also most of Paradox.

I would appreciate any input you can give me as to what awaits the change
from 9 to 12 and of course any advice as to negatives and positives

(Except please I hope there wont be many telling me "Don't Do It!!)

I don't think I am duplicating unnecessarily by posting this in areas of 9
and 12

If you use the address book in 9, open it and do File, Export to save it
(I forget at the moment what options are available -- use .ABX if
available, otherwise Comma-Delimited). That can then be used to import to
the WPWin 12 AB (which is actually the WPWin 9 version).

If your new computers come with the OEM or Productivity Pack (Dell)
version of WPWin 12, you might want to install QuickFinder from your WPO
2000 CD -- if you use that feature now in WPO 2000.

Same advice vis a vis the Bitstream Font Navigator if you use that now
(for the OEM or WPPP versions).

Be sure also to backup your WP9US.WPT so you can copy over custom
keyboards, menubars, styles and toolbars.

Be sure to backup WT9US.UWL so you can copy it over WT12US.UWL (your user
word list file).

For obvious reasons, we frown on posting to multiple groups here. It's
too confusing to reply and not be redundant.
