I contacted Corel support and they told that this version is not compatible
with XP and they recommended upgrading to the latest version.
I don't want to upgrade, I just want the WP9 working as it did with WIN98,
so I contacted Corel again and asked how to get the SP4 upgrade the is
needed to get it working again. I received no answer and now I have to do
all my typing with Word XP (that I don't like very much). How did you get
the CD with the SP4 and have anybody else tried to get it from Corel ?
Regards
Rainer
Then you do need to upgrade to SP4, but:

The last thing I heard, it is no longer available. You could try a direct
call: In N America: 800-772-6735. You need your serial number and credit card
details.

Corel has announced that they no longer support WPWin9 since the release
of WPWin12 (27 April 2004), and the only way to get the SP4 version is
through Corel Customer Services (or eBay, I suppose). Try calling Corel
Customer Services again -- they may still have some CDs left.

Just in case you want to know, SP4 was a rather extensive rework, and
could not be installed over SP3 with a patch. This was needed to
accomodate the newer versions of Windows.
If you need to get a newer version, there are some very good deals on
Amazon on WP10 and WP11. Just be sure you get the boxed version, not an
OEM disk, as some features are left off. Here is a link to a
particularly attractive deal, as this is essentially the Pro version.
