WP9 seems to have suddenly taken to finding every proper name in a document
and adding "Ms." to the beginning of it. It also automatically adds it to
the beginning of any name I type out. Is this another helpful "feature" of
Wordperfect? How can I turn it off?

Neil,

This is an aberration! How does WPWin know that a word is a proper
name? Does it add Ms. before WordPerfect, for example?

First try would be to assume some error in your default template file.
Do Tools, Settings, Files, Template tab -- the second window gives you
the path and filename for the file to be renamed (perhaps to
WP9OLD.WPT).

After the rename step, launch WPWin9 again, and a new default template
file will be created. Do you still get the problem?

This is so bizarre that is sounds like the work of some prank program
running the background. I remember one from the DOS days that caused
letters to randomly drop down into a pile at the bottom of the screen.

Neil, haven't you learned yet not to mess with those NOW babes? :-)
