You could try one of XP's compatibility modes, perhaps Win98 - though I
have seen no other cases where that has been useful for WPO9.
There is an update for your version, but it comes in English or French
only. If this is acceptable, please reply: we can give some details.
You posted a new message instead of replying to Jack's - that would have
been a better idea.

It does not work in a Dutch version - it runs only in English or French. It
did fix a number of bugs, and it is designed for Win2K and XP. I would not
have expected the error you note to be caused by a switch to XP. Then, I have
no other idea what could cause this either.
Does it happen in all documents?
Marja replied by email:
Yes it does happen in all the documents Roy.
Alas that upgrade only works for English an French versions.
This morning I remove the entire program of my computer
an reïnstall it again. Of course I tried it out an for a few lines
it work ok, but later after restart the computer again I did got the
same problem: the system ask me to send an error message to Microsoft
an when I press the yes or no button it shut down an I lost some
text again. It's really weird, never had this before.
Thanks for trying to help me out
Please keep all responses in the one thread -- then others can join in as
well.
Please try finding file WP9NL.WPT and renaming it to WP9BACK.WPT. Then
re-launch WPWin9. Does it still crash? Do you have a printer installed in
Windows?
