WP 12 Address book on desktop?

Is there any way that one could put the Address Book from WP12 directly
on the desktop so it could be accessed from there instead of having to
open WP12 to get to it?

I notice from all the messages that many aren't making the transition to
the new book all that easily.

Sorry, no. That was stopped with WP11. My guess is that it has something
to do with the optional integration with Outlook.
