Can anyone advise me on the best format to use for inserting logos etc. into
WordPerfect 7 documents? I know that it has it's own .wpg format but I
don't know how I can convert any of my existing graphics to this format, so
any assistance in this respect would be greatly appreciated.

In the meantime, I have a .tif, a .bmp, an .emf, an .eps, a .wmf and a .jpg
version of the logo that I am trying to insert but I cannot get any of these
into a blank document. I select the Graphics menu, then Image and select
these images but even though they preview OK, when I click the Insert button
it just returns to the blank document. There are no error messages or any
other hint of a problem and no sign of anything in reveal codes etc. I know
that all these image files are OK as I can open them all in Photoshop and a
few other programs and can insert them all into a Word document with no
problem. I'd be most grateful if someone could shed any light on why this
might be happening.

Many thanks and have a great weekend
Clare

I just tested my own WPWin 7 and it worked fine. I have 7.0.2.45 running
under Windows XP SP2.

Do Help, About Corel WordPerfect. What is your version number?

What is your version of Windows?

In WP8 I see a menu option: View|Graphics.

Thanks Jack (and for your previous note re VBA arriving in version 12)

I've got version 7.0.2.19 running under Windows XP SP2 but it's been doing
some other weird things i.e. one minute it won't save but the next day it
will be fine etc. so I think there's just something buggy about my setup and
I've decided to not worry about it....sometime this week I'll probably find
it will insert the images with no problem!!

I'd still be really interested though if anyone knows a) the best format to
use for graphics in WordPerfect and b) how to convert other graphic formats
to .wpg files.

Many thanks.

The best format to use if you have a choice would be .WPG since that is a
WordPerfect format.

Your Presentations 7 will convert other graphic formats to .WPG.

You should consider downloading and running the service pack to update
your 7.0.2.19 to 7.0.2.45.

ftp://ftp.corel.com/pub/WordPerfect/wpwin/70/wps7_03f.exe

You should download and execute the following file:

ftp://ftp.corel.com/pub/WordPerfect/wpwin/70/wps7_03f.exe

This will bring you to 7.0.2.45 which is the final service pack for the
WPWin 7 Suite.
