One of the computers in our office has a really weird problem with his copy
of WP7 and I'm hoping someone will have a fix for us.

First, we have several computers (all configured the same) running WP7 and
this problem only occurs on one of them, so it's driving us nuts to track it
down.

The problem is, existing documents are being opened as "read only" and can't
be modified. He must save any changes with a new file name. Here's what he
does:

Starts WP7 and types a new document into the blank page which is opened upon
program start. Then, he saves the document and goes about his business.
Days later, if he needs to come back to that document and make changes, he
starts WP7 first, then does file/open to get to his document. He makes
changes, then clicks the save button. At this time, the "Save As" window
opens requiring him to give the file a new name. If he attempts to save it
with the same file name, he is told the file is open in "read only" mode.
The only way to get out of the window (and save his changes) is to give it a
new file name.... creating "versions" of the same document.

I suspect the default template is corrupt, but I'm unsure how to restore the
original. Anybody have any ideas how to do this?

TIA,
___

Is this a Windows XP machine by any chance? If so, what is the version
number of the WPWin 7 (do Help, About Corel WordPerfect to get the number,
in form 7.0.x.77)?
