Does anyone know were the powerbar info is saved so I can copy it over to
another PC. Have a powerbar someone created with shortcuts to documents for
all to share, but when I copied his template over, the look for .wcm instead
of .wpd file.
Thanks
Leland

WP7, version 7.0.2.19
I'm not sure how he created the power bar but on his pc, when he click on
one of the buttons, it opens a .wpd document he can use to create a new doc.
When I copied his template file and made it the default template for another
user, she had the same powerbar, but her's gives errors, because hers is
looking for .wcm files.

It must be because he has created some wcm script files which, when played,
open the wpd templates you're interested in. And then he' s custom built a
power bar with buttons which point to the scripts, but they're on his
computer so when you copy the power bar and press the buttons it looks for
the same wcm script files with the same path, but of course they're not
there on the new computer. You can easily custom build your own your own
power bar by right- clicking on an existing power bar, select Preferences
then Create, give it a name and Select. Then the toolbar editor comes up and
you have four possibilities Features, Keystrokes, Programs and Macros. There
are some standard macros in the macros folder, but if you want a macro to
perform a specific task you'll have to create it yourself before you can
make a button for it on the powerbar. Keystrokes is a useful feature - if
you've got a long name, title, address, standard sentence or even a whole
paragraph, etc you use
frequently, you can tap it in in the keystrokes section and add a button to
the bar. Now whenever you need to write that text you just click the button.
You can make a button to open any program on your disk, and for this you
don't even need the toolbar editor. You can just drag the program icon from
Explorer over to the WP powerbar and it will create itself (as a shortcut,
naturally.)
good luck
