I called Corel and they said they would send me a new disk to fix the
problem. Corel sent me "Word Perfect Suite 7" but when I tried to load it I
got the same error message of "Failure loading shipping profile". I went
back to the computer store where the upgrades were done and they loaded a
small Word Perfect 8 program which was a limited but produced a workable
"fix" or compromise till last year we purchased a new proprietary computer
and my wife bought Microsoft Office 2000 for work she does. It came with
lots of Microsoft programs which I was, of course, thrilled to have to
learn in order to accomplish the same things I did with Corel Office 7.
I like the Corel Suite better and for some reason tried to load it again the
other day on my old rebuilt computer and got the same old Error message on
both my original Pro Office 7 disk and the Corel Word Perfect Suite 7 disk
which Corel sent me in 99 to "fix my problem". Don't know why I thought
maybe time would have made that possible. Nope! Still the same old error
message "Failure loading shipping profile". I went to Corel's web site
hoping to find a download fix in the form of a driver or something but I
found nothing except that the level personal interaction capabilities have
become much more limited, sans a credit card or corporate account. This
News Group was listed as an option so here I am.
Anybody have an idea of a fix so I can reinstall my Corel Professional
Office 7 or the supposed "Problem Fix" disk of Suite 7 they sent me. I just
use this thing, I really don't know how it works.
Thanks for letting me put this out there.
I do not know why you get that error message. I have Corel Office 7
Professional installed on a Win2000 Pro computer with no problems. The
only thing I can think of is that your version is not 'NT' enabled. I
know there where 2 version of Office 7 and you need the 'NT' version to
install it on a Win32 system.
However, you do say that you had it installed on Win95 so I would have
'assumed' you had the 'NT' version. Maybe you don't.
Sorry to say I can offer no other help,
