WP 9 freezes

Thanks for all the suggestions, folks. FWIW, I've got a new problem that I
won't bore ya'll with right now. But, to answer a couple of questions asked
of me, I don't use screen savers, I have the latest WP CD, i.e., SP4, and I
long ago disabled power settings.

Turn off your screensaver, drop your video settings, and disable power
mgmt both in the BIOS and in Windows.

This assumes you are "working" (i.e., typing) when it freezes, not doing
File/Open or File/Save at the time.

And as Tom says, get SP4!!!
