legal edition problems

we have legal edition 7 and have had several problems, such as freezing
in spellcheck, and the illegal operation in the middle of any function.
is this because wp was not designed to work with w95? we now are told
to get legal8, but i understand it also has some problems. what to do.
does anyone else have these same problems? i hate to call corel because
they put me on hold forever and it is a long distance phone call.

What are the details of the "illegal operation". Maybe if we know this
we can tell you where to solve the problem. Usually any message with
"014F" in it pertains to "video conflict" (and there's lots of that with
WP and Windows). The freezing in spellcheck sounds like either a network
problem or again, video card conflict.
I can certainly tell you how to solve the video conflict (without
spending a dime) and if you want to write to me directly, please feel
free to do so, but I have posted here and elsewhere so many times how to
do it, I hate to take the band-width.
Also, what if any TSR's are you running??? Are you running Internet
Explorer??? Norton Crash Guard?? What third-party software are you
running???

Well, but it was, it's just a 16-bit program instead of the true 32-bit
program that Suite 7 is.

All this has problems, and actually since they quit making WPDOS5.1
(along with Studebaker's) nothing has worked right!!WP has never been
what to do.

Don't do that, you can get as much help on the support NG's as you get
from Corel (in fact, more so, as the people who post here are usually so
knowledgable they can "fix" anything or at least point you in the right
direction).
