I purchased a copy of CompareRite 5.04 before Corel acquired it.

What is the latest version of CompareRite?

Is it available only bundled with WPSuite Legal?

If so, what does it cost to upgrade from WPSuite 8 to WPSuite 8 Legal
(when legal is released)?

If available separately, what is the upgrade cost for CompareRite
alone?

For the past few days, I have suddenly started receiving GPFs when
using CompareRite 5.04. Here is a typical error message:

hi michael:

we have corel legal edition 7 and at the recommendation of lexis-nexis,
who owns comparerite, we purchased comparerite 7. this is the complete
copy of comparerite. apparently the one in corel is a scaled down
version. we needed the complete copy because we run docsopen, so we
needed the red-line program to integrate with docsopen. it costs $189
plus shipping of 9.95. sorry, this is the only question i can answer.
however, i should also tell you that last week, corel told me that we
should have gotten the 5.x version of comparerite since legal edition is
16 bit and comparerite 7 is 32 bit. i checked with docsopen,
lexis-nexis and corel before i purchased, so i think it depends on what
tech support person you get. needless to say, we will keep the 7 version
since it works just fine. hope this helps.

Thanks. Do you know the version upgrade cost, or is that it?

I called Lexis-Nexis today, which acquired Jurisoft and therefore owns
CompareRite.

The upgrade cost to go from CompareRite 5.04 (of which I purchased a
stand-alone copy in 1995) to CompareRite 7 is $69 + $9.95 s/h + tax.
I ordered an upgrade at that price.

They told me that $189 is the full (non-upgrade) price for CompareRite
7.
