By the way, what's the exact error message, when you're starting Corel
Address Book?
Relating to the coexistence of a MS Exchange and Corel Address Book, the
following knowledge base article might help you:
--------------------------------------------------
Using Address Book Addresses with Microsoft (MS) Exchange
Document ID: 2603
This information applies to:
WordPerfect(R) 7 for Windows(R)
Problem:
Customers using Microsoft Exchange would like to combine MS Exchange
addresses with Corel Address Book addresses. Can the Corel Address Book
be used with MS Exchange address book?
Answer:
Both the Corel Address Book service and the MS Exchange services can be
combined into the same profile. To do this, click Start | Settings |
Control Panel | Mail/Fax. Note that MS Exchange is the Default
Profile. Click Add and select Corel Address Book from the list of
Information Service Providers. When you click on OK, the Corel Address
Book Properties screen will come up verifying the location of the
address book, which is usually
C:\Corel\Office7\Shared\Address7\Database.
Details:
The address books from the Corel Address Book program will then be
available to MS Exchange as additional address books. Once this has
been done, setting the default profile in the Corel Address Book to MS
Exchange will also allow addresses from both programs to be used in the
Corel application as well.
These steps allow the address books to be used together, but do not
combine them into one file or one address book. They do allow the user
to use the MS Exchange address books and the Corel address books
together in one address book program, but the addresses from the
selected address book are the only visible addresses and are maintained
by the respective service providers. In Corel Address Book, the
different address books show up as different tabs along the top. In the
MS Exchange, the different address books show up on a pull-down list.
