Accessing Wordperfect 8.0 docs via Wordperfect 7.0

My office runs wordperfect 7.0 for windows over a network (Windows 3.11
for Workgroups is our OS). We are adding several machines to the network
and are upgrading the entire network to Windows 98. If our new machines
come loaded with Wordperfect 8.0, can documents created under this
program and saved as version 8.0 documents, be accessed by the machines
loaded with Wordperfect 7.0?
